Sustainability
The 17 wedges in the colour wheel each represent one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals - a blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet that has been adopted by all member states of the United Nations. These goals recognise that a broad range of strategies are required to achieve a beneficial long term outcome for all, including the eradication of poverty, improving education, reducing inequality and spurring economic growth while tacking climate change and preserving our natural heritage.
ConfidenceClub actively engages with factories that manufacture according to good sustainability practices, so that together we can all make a positive difference in our product choices.
The majority of our products are manufactured in Europe using factories, materials and processes that have been certified as being compliant with a number of well-respected sustainability practices, including:
Our manufacturer is a member of Sedex SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) - the world's leading corporate social audit. SMETA assesses a business on their business practices and social compliance in the areas of labour, health and safety, the environment and business ethics.
Our products are made from materials that promote sustainable forest management, according to the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).
Our products are CO2-Neutral in line with the PAS 2060 standard for demonstrating carbon neutrality.
There are no animal tests conducted or commissioned on ingredients, formulations or finished products.
The EU Ecolabel promotes the circular economy by encouraging producers to generate less waste and CO2 during the manufacturing process. This has been awarded to our factories for their environmental excellence throughout their lifecycle.
For example we use green polyethylene in our Dailee and Care products. It is made from sugarcane waste, a renewable alternative to the traditional thermoplastic resin. Dailee brand products also use plastic that is as thin as possible to avoid excessive plastic use. Our products with the innovation of Magical Tubes have been made with less bulk, resulting in a reduced need for raw materials, without compromising performance.
Our European factories use electricity produced from renewable energy sources via E.On Energie.
The factories are ISO-certified (ISO 9001:2016, ISO 13485:2016, ISO 14001:2016), for their quality management systems and processes in design, production and distribution.
ISO 9001 is the standard that demonstrate's a factory's ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
ISO 13485 is a quality standard for medical device companies.
ISO 14001 is the certification of the factory's environmental management systems.
All our textile washable items are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certified free of more than 100 substances known to be harmful to human health
