Frequently Asked Questions
All of our product options are great solutions for male incontinence, but the type that will be best suited to your needs depends on your level of incontinence and personal preference.
- Our male guards are best suited to light drops, leaks or dribbles of urine
- Our pull up pants are best suited to moderate urinary leakage (including full bladder voids) and light bowel incontinence
- Our all-in-one slips (also called adult nappies) are best suited for moderate to heavy incontinence, or full loss of bladder and/or bowel control.
While our pull ups and all-in-one slips are both able to contain a full bladder void, our slips have a much higher absorption capacity.
Our Dailee Slip Maxi has a maximum capacity of 3100mL - which is about 7 times the volume of an average adult male wee!
Well, that all depends on the level and type of incontinence you have.
Male guards are best for light leaks, drops or dribbles of urine, while pull up pants offer a greater level of protection, making them able to contain a full bladder void as well as light bowel incontinence.
Putting on pull up pants is basically the same as putting on regular underwear - just put your legs through the holes, pull them up and away you go!
Continence Nurse and ConfidenceClub ambassador, Jane Clarke, has also made a video series sharing her expert knowledge and tips on how to put on on incontinence pants, which you can check out here!
While our guards are very absorbent, due to the flow of liquid while urinating, they don't offer enough coverage to hold a full void.
If you need an incontinence aid that can contain a full wee, we recommend using our pull up pants or slips instead. These provide full coverage while still being slimline and discreet, without compromising on absorbency either.
Some people may experience skin irritation or a rash, also called incontinence associated dermatitis.
This can be caused by prolonged contact of the skin with urine or stool, and can be avoided or minimised by changing your incontinence aid as soon as it's wet or soiled.
Our range of incontinence pants are also designed to help keep your skin in optimal health, as they're latex free, chemical free, bleach free, fully breathable and dermatologically tested.
